Tolle Knolle in Konstanz

One star is still too many. Actually wanted to have dinner there with the family. Unfortunately we had a 2 year old child with us. Wanted to sit on the bench and touched the bench with her shoes (clean). That bothered two older women a lot. (Had previously loudly asked to blow the child's nose) The landlord also blew the same horn! The guest is actually king! Customer and child friendliness looks different. We left the restaurant so as not to disturb the ladies and the landlord. Children are usually not adults! Fortunately, there are many restaurants in Konstanz where children are also welcome.

Seldom eaten so delicious! It was very, very delicious! We will definitely come again!

Great restaurant where there is everything made from or with potatoes. A slightly different menu. If you love potatoes, you've come to the right place! Everything tasted great. Even the espresso at the end was delicious. Highly Recommended!

The kitchen works really well, everything is fresh and of the best quality. The restaurant is in the city center, walking distance to the catamaran landing stage, the lake, the train station and the lake. The seats outside are nice under trees and sun protection. Children can move around easily, there is a fountain. Few parking spaces directly at the house, but in the Lago and on the Doebele within walking distance. There are dishes with potatoes; The potato pancakes are great. The pizzas are good and the patatas bravas a real recommendation. There is also a very good tuna salad and vegetarian options. Super delicious food! Gluten-free and lactose-free dishes are even listed, which I thought was really great! The service was very friendly and the food came quickly. Since it is very well attended, we had to wait briefly to get a free seat, but it was worth it. :)

Unfortunately, in this economy, people are no longer so interested in customers. Waiters seem rather unmotivated. Despite the reservation you had to wait. And when you watch "guests" simply sit down from the side at a table that has become vacant, although they were advised to line up behind other waiting customers, you lose your appetite.

The atmosphere is super relaxed - a street musician plays the most pleasant guitar songs in the evening. The potato pizza is huge and very tasty! However, we're near Switzerland here, so everything is a bit more expensive, even if the store sounds alternative, it isn't.

Nice restaurant, easily accessible by local transport and on foot. Large menu with many delicious, rich dishes. Also great desserts, etc. fresh cakes and pies. Nice personel. Reservations work wonderfully👍🏻

The restaurant was recommended to us and so we wanted to eat there with a group of 12 people. It was raining a little and when we got there the waiter told us rather condescendingly that all seats inside were taken. There was more than enough space outside under the umbrellas, but when we told him we would also eat outside (there were already 2 large tables for 10 people, you only had to add a small table, there were enough free) explained to us that there would only be room for 10 people. Well, this place doesn't need to be hospitable. We then ate at the competition, where we were welcomed and served very friendly, even though it was quite full there.

Was only there for a beer. Conditions was attentive and also very friendly. Despite over 30 degrees. So far everything is good. Maybe next time with food. The menu is very extensive.

Looks very tasty, but the slogan "Tolle Knolle" is supposed to refer more to the potatoes. The dish has a lot of potential for taste improvement and the potatoes are right on earth. Price / performance already high ... is certainly due to tourism.

We spent a perfect evening here today. The waiters always looked after us very attentively and warmly and proved to be very competent. Very tasty regional specialties were recommended, especially when choosing the "nightcap". The food was great and served very quickly. Both the bulbous and meaty ingredients were very tasty. The next time we are in Konstanz, we will definitely come back. We really have nothing to complain about.

The owners have probably never heard of an order. You stand in line forever and then other people who are also there without a reservation are let in front of you. I advise EVERYONE to avoid this restaurant. Right next door there are many other very good restaurants that treat their customers sensibly.

The first time there, great experience. Food was plentiful, good and Price / performance was right! Despite sudden hail, the staff acted very professionally. (Friendly, competent, fast) There are not ONLY potatoes, but there are 100 varieties.

The great tuber is easy to find, no problem on Google Maps. There is enough parking space all around. The garden management is nice and has many places. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was very good, soup, salad and main course were very good. It should have a little more salt to my taste, but as I said, it's a matter of taste. All in all highly recommended. We would love to come back.

Super restaurant / pizzeria. The prices are a bit higher than in another pizzeria but you get a very nice and courteous service and great food. A clear meal from me - go recommendation!

Affordable, big portions (too big for my own taste), decent choice of wines. Don't get Rösti (a.k.a. Reibekuchen) here though, unless you like the soft and oily variety.

Friday lunchtime, walked in and spoke English to ask for a table for two and one child, large waitress gave the worst face as if we offended her. Sat down and child started to cry, a waiter said nicely that crying child must cry outside, it is 4 degrees outside. We decided to leave. Visited Konstanz often for 8 years and this is the only bad experience, simply shocked at the attitude of this place.

Food was delicious, service was great. A must go!

Kalbsschnitzel was delicious, service was friendly and attentive - only the so called Rösti were some oil dripping 'Kartoffelpuffer' - so being at a Potatoes Restaurants the potato dish was actually the disappointment. Again, the rest was great and I'm looking forward going back there when back in KN

Classic food with the twist that potatoes feature in almost every dish, even the pizze dough is potato based. Loved the twist and the outdoor atmosphere, food was very good but the prices were a tick higher then I expected. All-in-all, good place for a meal.
